ducduc Dylan: Creme de la Crib

dylancrib.jpgDylan Crib for a cool $6,000. Crazy is the first word that comes to mind. That almost costs as much as the furniture in my master bedroom! Do you really think your baby can tell the difference if he's in a shi shi crib or in a drawer? Then, I start to take a second look and decide you really get a lot of bang for your buck. The company even claims this set will fit your tots changing needs from cradle to college. That makes this modular system definitely snobworthy! The simulated configuration photos look so amazing as if Nate Berkus just stepped out of your house. But, I am not going for looks alone; ducduc is also recognized for quality, a very important characteristic when spending all that dough.

dylantwinroom.jpgThe three elements (crib, dresser, and bonding bench) sold as a set transition into five very different configurations: crib, day bed, toddler bed (add $145), twin bed (add $695), or full bed (add $745). The crib converts to the daybed once the ottoman cushion is in place. For the toddler, twin, and full beds it costs a little more as specified above. The dresser doubles as a changing table or splits to two separate storage pieces. To avoid smashing tiny fingers, each drawer features a soft close mechanism. Definite plus. I can’t tell you how many tears have been shed because my daughter slammed her fingers in her dresser. The bonding bench (couldn’t they have come up with a better name?) serves as a place to relax and play in the early years. Later it converts to a chic ottoman so sleek that any room in your house would benefit from its addition. Finally, move the cushion to the daybed and the ottoman base now serves as a stunning cocktail table. Now, that’s a lot of furniture for just three pieces. Find out the details at ducduc.
