Snob or Slob: The Roddler

Well, we have introduced the Ferrari of all strollers; now meet the Bentley…The Roddler. Kid Kustoms, the creative merge of Pinstripe Preps and Iacono Design, offers the ultimately luxurious stroller. First of all, tiny tushies get cozy on exotic leathers such as ostrich, stingray, alligator, cow hide or alcantra in a variety of colors and stitch combinations. Next, glam up the exterior with a custom paint job or retro inspired Kustom fenders that includes lights. So for the hot rod fanatic, probably your hubby (hey, maybe he’ll fight you for pushing rights), choose from 50’s Buicks, Caddy’s, Old’s or others. Finally, select the proper technology: DVD Screen or i-Pod Dock. At this point, why choose?? Just take both. On a side note, Kid Kustoms supports the 1% for the Planet organization, where businesses donate 1% of sales to the natural environment. I love it when small companies are committed to more than just profits.

The Roddler was definitely designed with Tot Snobs and Mom Snobs in mind. This ride starts at $2500, and that’s the issue. Just thinking about that supple leather getting beaten to pulp and caked in spit up makes me cringe. I would rather put that money towards a great exotic clutch for myself. Selfish maybe, but my kids aren't suffering and don't know the difference between leather or pleather. Also, I don’t know if I am sold on the looks of this thing. Just a little too attention getting for my taste. So, that leads me to ask my Snobby Mommies, what do you think push it or park it?
