Mom Snobs Weigh-in on Milk Fat

user-pic

milk2.jpg Would you put your toddler on reduced fat milk if you thought he or she was too "chunky"? The suggested recommendations for milk are as follows: 1-2 years whole milk, 2-3 years low fat milk providing your child has no growth or development issues, 3+ years you can give whatever milk you choose.

Milk fat is essential for growth and brain development. Personally, I believe the more rolls the better! The cheeks, the thighs, and protruding bellies are just what make babies and toddlers so delicious. Both of my children (3 and 1) remain in the higher percentiles (85% plus) for height and weight. I love every ounce of them and wouldn't even think about offering reduced fat milk before its time. However, some weight obsessed moms believe the contrary. Would you want fewer rolls at the expense of hindering growth and brain development in your baby? Please post your comments in the comments section.
