The Safe Sippy is a cross between a sippy and a straw, as you can see the "nipple" is longer than your regular sippy cup. This is a graduated step from the sippy before your tot is ready for the stainless steel sports bottles. But these are not at all hard to use, mine got used to the sippy straw with the first use. The Safe Sippy is BPA free and the stainless steel cleans so much better than any plastic, which leaves that nasty musty smell if you don't wash it immediately after milk. Of course, anything other than plastic is referred these days. I threw all the plastic cups and sippy cups away and have completely switch to either the Foogos for my baby and this for my toddler. $16.50 Amazon, comes in pink, blue and green.
