Imagine shopping with your tot and seeing a giant poster of Karl Lagerfeld with his doppelganger bear. And then you find out that the bear is $1500. It is disorienting to say the least. I know Steiff has collection edition bears but I still don’t get the price tag on it, what am I paying for exactly? The designer miniature jeans and flannel jacket? The boots are actually pretty cool though. It does come with a drawing of the bear signed by the Kaiser himself. Now on sale at Neiman Marcus for $989.
I totally would have bought this – if it wasn’t about 500x what I’m willing to bay for a stuffed animal.
