Taipei is a Hello Kitty wonderland. Everything you can imagine comes in Hello Kitty form, we even went to a Hello Kitty restaurant with all the food in the shape of Hello Kitty’s face. I even saw a Birkin knockoff with Hello Kitty encrusted in crystals (of which I covered on Bag Snob). So on our return flight, it was pleasing, although not surprising, to find a Hello Kitty gate in Terminal 2. This is no after thought, the entire gate is thoroughly themed out including Hello Kitty’s face on all the seats. There is an area with tables for puzzles and blocks but the piece de resistance is the playground with slide. Or maybe you might find the Duty Free Hello Kitty boutique to be the bigger attraction. It was the best hour ever spent at an airport for sure!
