I try to buy organic food when possible, and it only makes sense to buy as many organic household products, as I can, as well. It’s really nice that so many companies are coming out with organic offerings. The more we can limit chemical exposure for ourselves and our kids, the better! Pixel Organics’ organic natural rubber crib mattress is made by hand in Los Angeles. It features a very soft organic cotton cover and a quilted layer made with organic wool to provide natural cooling and moisture wicking. This is a great feature for infants that can easily get hot when sleeping because this has been linked to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
The rubber core is made of firm Sri Lankan rubber. And we all know a firm mattress is another crucial factor to help prevent SIDS. There are no chemicals present in the mattress, and no chemicals used in the manufacturing. In addition, the rubber is known for its hypoallergenic qualities, and is resistant to molds, mildews and dust mites, which would be very beneficial for a child with allergies. Organic food trends started a few years ago and now more mommies want everything organic for their sweetie pies. In the age when everyone is “going green”, what does this new organic craze really mean? Now, manufacturers produce a ton of organic items from clothes to bubble bath just so your baby can get the purest. Organic cotton, similar to organic fruits and veggies, is grown without the use of insecticides or pesticides. However, the benefit is two-fold: not only does your baby have the purest fibers touching his or her skin, but the production of organic cotton causes no pollution that harms the environment. Organic bath products use ingredients grown without fertilizers or pesticides. Read about a few of Tot Snob’s favorite organic products:

Garden Blossom - $340
A few months ago, I received a dwell burp set as a gift for the birth of my son. It quickly became one of my favorites. The set contains two bibs and on burp cloth. All items are soft, patterned cotton on one side and terry velour on the other. Not only do they serve their purpose, but they a beautiful to look at. The simplistic mod fabrics are great. Because of its beauty, I am not embarrassed to use it in public. Loving my newest baby accessories, I went online to order more.
I discovered that dwell makes crib bedding and in January they launched a kid’s line too. So once those babies transfer to big beds, you can still keep a simple modern theme for you and the fun patterns your kids will enjoy. Updated Cowboy and Cowgirl patterns in soft colors that don’t scream Western Rodeo are perfect for a grown up kid. For the babies, I adore the garden blossom and motif crib sets.
Now, I gift dwell to everyone. Beyond bedding and burp sets, they make hooded bath towels, stroller blankets, toys, and stuffed animals. The 100% cotton fabrics are not certified organic, but they are free of formaldehyde and other agents and dyes. Available at
