Jr. Chefs of America is a new website with a focus on kids teaching kids the joy of cooking -- think of it as the Food Network for your little ones:) It's funny because now cooking often feels like an arduous chore, but I remember when I was younger how much my friends and I LOVED cooking and baking! Even at sleep-away camp the cooking classes were always the most popular. That said, Jr. Chefs of America is pretty much a sure fire way to entertain kids while educating them on the importance of developing healthy eating habits. The site features original webisodes that teach children about kitchen safety, cooking healthy, and responsible meal possibilities. The junior chefs featured are between 12 and 16 years old and present recipes in a clear and easy-to-follow way. Plus, even if your child isn't a foodie-in-training, he or she can learn basic skills like how to use a microwave or how to crack an egg properly. Introduce your tot to the world of the culinary arts - just click here!

I went to The Sports Club/LA last week for an event they were hosting to showcase some of their newest classes and amenities and just had to share some of the great classes they offer for kids!

The Sports Club/LA calls the tot part of their club For Kids Only and they offer activities for kids from 6 months on. All of their programs are focused on fostering self esteem, creativity, and problem solving, and they're led by childhood education specialists. You don't even need to be a member to sign-up your tot for their classes! -- though it's slightly cheaper if you are a member and I have to say, if you're looking to join a gym, this one truly has unparalleled and luxe amenities (everything from spa to tennis-- my two favorites! --and considering I live in Manhattan their amenities are unbelievably expansive!).
