A car, a toy, a seat, a friend and room decor. These Silly Seats will entertain and delight your tot for hours, weeks and years. Tots love chairs, or any kind of seating and a fun character seat could not be more attuned to their minds. The modular design allows them to take it apart and play with however their creativity takes them. It is designed for ages 1 and up, which is the age when tots can stand and sit down on their own, the action of which occupies a huge portion of their day. Stand, sit, stand, sit, stand, sit. Baffling how this is never boring. Made of easy to clean microfiber. At Pinky Scout for $48, comes in various designs.
A table that does it all. It has a reversible top with chalk on one side and wood on the other. It also has a reservoir to store the chalk, coloring books, crayons, whatever you want. Pretty nifty! If you don't have room for multiple tables (seriously, who does?) this would be perfect for the nook or kitchen for mealtimes, as well as, crafting. The P'kolino line is very architectural and very well designed, you are getting a quality piece of furniture for great value. Comes with 2 benches. At Amazon for $88.50.
Bumper rails don't fit on all beds, I found out the hard way. They are complicated and make changing sheets a bigger drag that it already is and worst of all, they are an eye sore. These Go Bed Bug bumpers are wedges that go right under the sheets and are super versatile. You can take these with you to grandma's and easily switch beds when you need to. If I had known about this, I would have kept the queen bed in my tots' room and had them share a bed - all I had to do to avoid them kicking each other was using these as dividers. I know you can probably find something similar at stores that sell back relieving supplies, but these are so well priced, you can avoid the hassle and guess work by just ordering these that are specifically designed as a bed guard. The one 42 inch piece is $12.95, two 27 inch pieces are $15.95 and the combo 42 inch piece + 21 inch piece are $19.50. At Go Bed Bug.
Time to get your tots ready for an entrepreneurial life. Selling lemonade is their first foray in business, although it is more charity than strictly capitalistic. I mean, who wouldn't stop for cute tots selling lemonade? It's not like you would ever ask for change from a dollar for the $.25 cup made of concentrate. There are always tots in the neighborhood hawking "fresh lemonade", when questioned on why it was pink, they had no answer =) I'm not sure how they are going to come up with the initial investment for this professional lemonade stand but it is awfully cute and will be responsible for many fond memories. At Barneys New York for $165.
Ok, who's into fairies? Or even Alice in Wonderland now that it's so popular. This mushroom table and stools set is probably the cutest and coolest furniture I've seen. You set this up in any room and you've got yourself a themes room. Add some fairy stickers on the wall and you can open your house up as a tea house! This will ship in July, at Modern Lola for $450.
I have something similar to this (but not nearly as nice) around my coffee table and it is the perfect thing for my tots to sit on for snacks and what not. Unlike mine, these little ottomans looks great with or without tots sitting on them and they slide under your coffee table when not in use. They will look amazing sitting anywhere in your living room! The best part is the eco-chic aspect, they come flat with just the cover and you stuff them with your own recycled products like magazines, newspapers, clothes, whatever. This reduces the carbon footprint in the shipping as well as take care of what would be trash in your home. This is immediate and direct recycling! Plus, image all the fun you'll have with your tot tearing up magazines and newspapers and balling them up for the stuffing. I am crazy about this idea, beautiful Moroccan old world look that is functional, fun and environmentally sound. Zid Zid Petit Gold Owl Eco Poof at Arte Bebe for $79.
A changing table that is useful once your tot is potty trained! Now that is a sustainable product! This 100% natural bamboo changing trunk is made of fully sustainable materials. But it is the extended useful life that really makes it uniquely eco-friendly. This changing trunk can be placed on top of a dresser for diaper days, and when potty training is complete, this becomes a bench for your tot with a handy drawer for treasures. That drawer of course is useful for whatever use you need. I'm thinking - in the entry for putting on shoes and that drawer is perfect for the shoes! This also alleviates the need for an infant specific changing table dresser, I mean what do you do with it when it becomes obsolete? Yes, a good hand me down for the recipient but an expense you can definitely be happy to avoid. Choose between a trumpet flower or honeysuckle engraving. At Greener Grass Design for $520.

Over the weekend I went to the International Contemporary Furniture Fair at the Javits Center mostly to see the fruits of Hugh Hayden (the designer/architect behind FUNature), and designer/architect Katie Vitale's latest creation, FRAMEicariums -- but ended-up spotting some additional fun finds along the way. With FRAMEicariums, Hayden and Vitale have turned childhood ant-farms into living works of art that showcase the geological excavations of the tunnels formed by ants against a variety of landscapes, vintage magazine tear-outs, and other one-of-a-kind framed images. They will be available for purchase online as of May 19. More finds after the jump!
Your tot will feel like it's a vacation every day!! Imagine how much money you will save! :) Actually, you might not be able to afford a vacation after this. But this is a total fantasy come true for the adventurous Tot who wish he were Diego! It's like a treehouse and beach shack in one. That slide just adds a 1000% to an already too fun bed. How will he ever sleep? You know your house will be the favorite playdate spot for his friends!! At Posh Tots for $15,810.
