Tots love to help out in the kitchen and it is something I want to encourage, I'm dreaming of the day when they will cook and clean for me =) That's why I love the Little Partners Learning Tower ($170.99) but it is so big and won't get out of the way. The alternative, Easy-fold Kitchen Helper Step-stool
, has the same concept - keeps tots safe from falling off of a regular step, but it folds up for easy storage! And it is cheaper at $115.88. There are 3 adjustable platform heights, which lock in place. The sides have a dry erase and chalkboard for additional activities. It supports up to 125 lbs so if your mom or mother-in-law needs a little lift, they can hop on up!

Restaurant high chairs actually work pretty well. The only thing is, it's not the cutest piece of furniture so I would never think about bringing it home. But this Tavo High Chair has all the ease and functionality AND it looks great! I love pulling up my tot right up to the table so she can be a part of the dining experience instead of being set aside eating by herself. It is the best time for the family to get together and on a round table (well, at least mine is), you get to look at everybody. How great is that? There isn't enough minutes in the day when you can just stare longingly at the people you love the most. The cushiony seat is comfy and easy to clean. The T-Bar allows even the smallest tots to sit securely, well, of course as long as they are able to sit upright by themselves. But by the time they are eating solids, they are most likely able to sit. Leather comes in brown, black or white and wood base comes in either light or dark stain. At Sparkability for $299.
I don't think your tot is going to "get" the humor of this booster but when has that ever stopped you from doing anything? =) I still get the Yellow Pages delivered to me on a regular basis and it goes right in the recycle bin, so I suppose to be environmental, I should re-purpose them as boosters. I would be able to seat 16 tots at my house! But they don't have the contours for the bum like this does and it is much lighter since it's made of foam. Just for kicks though, I wanted to share! Fred Boost Booster Seat at Amazon for $20.
This new high chair from Peg Perego serves 3 functions: recliner, swing and high chair. The chair will lean back to allow your newborn to comfortably lounge and look lovingly at you while you get a few things done. It has a t-bar so he doesn't slip out, even though there is also a 5-point harness on the seat. It also converts into a swing, albeit a manual swing. If you have a kicky tot, he could possibly rock himself but otherwise, you will need to put him at your feet while you give it a soft kick now and again. And when it is time for solid foods, it becomes a high chair, which is what Peg Perego is known for; they are the best selling high chairs on the market. If you are cramped for space (it folds up pretty small), this is a great option but if you want the full function of a swing, this is not going to cut it. It does not have sounds and vibration but most importantly, it does not swing automatically. The auto swing has been a life saver for my family so I cannot imagine this could replace it. It does come with an optional Accessory Pack, which updates the fabric color to either orange or green and comes with a canopy (great for bringing him outdoors) and a play bar with toys for $79.99. The Peg-Perego Tatamia High Chair
is $314.99 at Amazon. Comes in white, brown or off white seat fabric.
