I don't want to stress you out, if you have not started a Birthday Journal for your tot yet, it is not too late to catch up. You know how much time, energy and money is spent on birthdays and parties, why not capture the joy you brought on that day with a book that you can look back on to guilt your grown tots with =) At the very least, you will have a good place to put all the invites you slaved so hard putting together. It's not very daunting, each year, from birth to 18, just has places for invites, a few pictures and an envelope for small memorabilia. If you don't have the patience for a full blown scrapbook, this could be a great alternative that still shows you are conscientious, or if you are the organizing type, this is another project for you to shine in. At Amazon for $13.57.

Got a birthday girl (or boy)? What a perfect way to celebrate the happy day than wearing this hat? It is so awesome!! And totally adorable. I complain that my tots' birthday parties go overboard because I want it to be fabulous for their sake, but in reality, I just love planning parties!! So with a 5th birthday coming up for my daughter, the research for the most creative and awesome party is underway. The cake of course is the most important feature of a party - this book, Birthday Cakes for Kids has some serious cute and unique designs - that you can make yourself!! Believe it or not, most of these cakes are easy to make, even though they will impress any crowd. The book comes with templates and cut outs for you to follow. Some of the best ones, like the castle, is the easiest once all the instructions are laid out. Spend your money on the goodie bag (the most appreciated part of a tot's party) and save money and make it an experience with your birthday tot by making your own cake. At Amazon

Planning a birthday party for you tot? Consider getting a personalized banner to go with the theme or get something universal and you can take this baby out year after year. This is quite a big banner at 54 x 12 inches which means you can cut down on other decorations once you have this up. These are not your typical Kinko's printed banner, these use a Giclee process so they look like real oil paintings! Yes, very fancy =) Choose from a variety of designs, like the Animals or Princess. At Baby Oliver Boutique for a very reasonable $39, and as with all Oopsy Daisy orders, a portion of sales go to children's charities.
Are you tired of paying $3.50 for a cupcake? Honestly, when I make my own using the Betty Crocker mix, they are super moist and yummy! All you need are cute cupcake toppers, like these easy to deal with Dinosaur Cupcake Kit or the Mermaid Cupcake Kit, they are $11.95 and makes 24 cupcakes. It comes with the paper wrapper and a decoration on a toothpick for fool proof application. Each package comes with 4 different designs so you get a variety within the theme. All you need is frosting and store bought is fine by me. Even if you're not having a party, these are super fun to make just because.

Easter has a lot of fun craft and cute trinkets but instead of throw away toys and sugary treats, here are some goodies that will be nice to keep around long after the hunt is over.
This Whimsical Felt House, $72, is a sweet dollhouse for little friends or fill it with toys to bring on the road.
Not much needs to be said about little girls and their bags, this Bunny Face Goody Bag, $10, will be her favorite accessory all season.
The Bunnyville Egg Hunt pop-up book, $15, is my favorite of the bunch here. It's super cute and everyone enjoys the excitement of a pop up book!

I had the honor of hosting a baby shower for two of my dearest friends. It was a total blast organizing and putting everything together from decorations to cake to game prizes. And of course, everything had to be up to Snob standards with my name behind it ;-) They knew they are having a boy and right away I knew the shower had to be really beautiful so the mom to be can get her fair shake of girly things! The colors were green and pink for the co-ed shower, which I highly recommend. Why should girls have all the fun? Instead of traditional baby shower games, we had a sippy cup drinking contest and a "guess the gift basket value" game that did not involve sitting down with pen and paper that the boys would hate (I actually am not in love with those games either). Everyone had a super good time but most importantly, the parents to be had a wonderfully memorable celebration.
