Baby Havaianas are CUTE!!!

havaianas_purple.jpg

You can't get through the summer without these, they are the most ridiculously cute things I've ever seen. Little feet have a hard time hanging on to flip flops so these sling backs are essential to cool feet for the hot weather. I just went to the Bug's Life water fountain park at Disney's California Adventure yesterday and these would have come in handy, they stay on little running feet (Toy Story's Midway Mania opened yesterday and the line was 7 hours long at one point! Needless to say, I did not partake). They come in white, navy, pink and lilac so that everyone in the family can flop around fashionably. Havaianas Baby Top Sandals $17 at Saks Fifth Avenue. Goes to size 8 Toddlers.

Little Raggio Monogrammed Moccasins

littleraggio.jpg

I am a shoe snob and my kids really do have the best selection of shoes. I am always searching for the best shoes out there that are still reasonably priced (yes, I would love to outfit my kids with Bottega Veneta woven leather shoes but $280 for a few months of wear is way too wasteful for my conscience). These moccasins from Little Raggio remind me of my favorite Tod's driving moccasins and look just as comfy and stylish. I love the option to have it monogrammed, perfect for gift giving. This would make a fabulous welcome home gift for a close friend or relative. If you have one still this size, it is way too cute to pass up. Admit it, you are getting your credit card out =) At Layla Grayce for $48, additional $15 for monogramming.

La Garconne Tot Fashion

makie_balloondress.jpgmalolespetitezoe.jpg

You cannot get any cuter than this balloon dress! The draw string pockets are way adorable, I can't get over it! It is $132 and go up to 4T. I am all about keeping my kids looking like kids for as long as possible and La Garconne has just what I need for that. These little tiny ballet slippers are to die!! It is on sale for $45, it is 50% off so get them fast. They go up to 9 months. Too bad they don't come in a size 10 for me (yes, I have giant feet, as if being a size 9 wasn't big enough, my 2 pregnancies have bumped me to a full 10).

Chic baby gifts

bbblanket2.jpgbbtrumpette.jpg

I am always on the hunt for cute baby gifts. Last year, I was searching online for one of my girlfriend’s new baby girl, and I stumbled upon Baby Bella. Their customer service and selection are great. I prefer to put together a collection of baby items to make the perfect gift, as opposed to one large gift or something off a baby registry, and Baby Bella makes this easy, with a large selection of adorable baby items. I also love their gift wrapping! For a small fee, you can have each gift wrapped separately, and you should definitely choose this option. A stack of meticulously wrapped gifts makes for a beautiful presentation! And the items are so cute, you'll find yourself shopping for your own children as well!

In 2004, the owners of Baby Bella opened a boutique in Fish Creek, WI, with the desire to only sell high quality children’s clothing and nursery decor. They pride themselves on their selection of fun and funky baby items. After a large response to their store, they opened the online site.

I have ordered from Baby Bella several times, and my girlfriends loved the gifts! Some of my favorites from the site are Trumpette socks, Bebe Au Lait and Baby Burpie burp cloths, Taggies, Diapering Attaches, and Robeez shoes.

Patent Sandals from Maloles

maloles_sandals.jpg

I'm a shoe fanatic, so needless to say, it trickles down to what I buy for my kids as well. It is quite ridiculous how many pairs of shoes my daughters have, but they keep growing, so my obsession is fueled with this ever growing need!!! Now here are sandals I absolutely cannot resist! How incredibly cute are these for summer? I love that they are green, and not pink, because spring and summer clothes are always so colorful. They will be great with any cool tones and of course, for kids, green goes perfectly with pink =) They also come in metallic silver and magnolia (which is a rosy bronze), but those are not as good for everyday. These are of course for toddlers size 20-24. At Vivre for $105 (sandals have more flexibility with size, toes can stick out a bit, so that is how I am justifying paying $105 for kids shoes).

Pediped Flex

grey.jpg
pink.jpg

As a woman who is obsessed with shoes, it only makes sense that I’m obsessed with my son’s shoes as well! My friend Amy is the same way, and she raves about Pediped shoes. Both her 2-year-old son and 3-month-old daughter wear them. We’re both excited about Pediped’s new Flex line with rubber soles. The company says Pediped Flex is “the next best thing to bare feet for children ages 2-5 years.” The shoes are adorable! The Demetri for boys is a stylish sneaker that can be worn with anything, and the Abigail for girls is an adorable Mary-Jane style with flower accents. There are many other cute styles available as well.

In addition to being stylish, Pediped shoes are great for growing feet. Flex zones provide flexibility (which we all know is crucial for toddlers!), and the unique Flex Fit system comes with an additional 2-mm insole to customize the shoe, so they fit for each child.
kjhkh.jpg
If you’ve never tried Pediped or you need to stock up, now is a great time to buy. You could win Pediped for a lifetime! Every purchase from the site until March 31, is an automatic entry in the contest or you can visit the website for a registration form. Every day one person will win a free pair, and on April 1, three grand-prize winners will be randomly selected from the daily winners to receive Pediped Flex for a lifetime!

Robeez Tredz - Rubber Sole for Outdoor

Robeez_Hibiscus.jpgrobeez_racecar.jpg

It's probably safe to assume that all our kids had Robeez soft sole shoes as infants. I am excited to announce that they finally came out with rubber sole shoes!! The same cute designs and comfortable fit, these new shoes come in sizes 12-16 months, 16-20 months, 20-24 months. My daughter is a size 8 (25 in French sizing), the 20-24 months is a little big for her but the elastic ankles keep it on her so she can grow into them. Which, as we all know is a nice feature to have! Just be careful not to buy too big because it will cause them to trip. We were lucky enough to preview these shoes before the official launch date of Feb. 4th. As soon as I put these on my daughter she loved it and would not take them off. I have tried to get her to wear really nice patent leather shoes that she won't put on and after struggling to get it on her, she will kick them off as soon as I turn away. I've stopped imposing my vanity on her and now let her wear what is comfortable, which sounds obvious but not so easy to do! With these, I get the best of both worlds. The entire shoe bends with each step and the "tredz" provide great traction for smooth surface floors (I won't say no more spills but the less the better, right?). It has elastic laces and a velcro strap so they are way easier to put on than the original Robeez so your independent toddlers will have no trouble putting it on themselves. I would say these are most comparable to See Kai Run, which are great and super cute, but the Robeez have more flexibility with the sizing (I am getting tired of buying new shoes every other month) and these stay on so much better. There is more support for the entire foot which is not only important for those learning to walk - the runners need protection even more! The best part is, the boys selections are just as cute as the girls. There are nice loafer styles, as well as, fun themes like trucks so you will have something for every occasion. They are $42 and will be available at Robeez online and all the usual places they are sold.

Boys Shoes are Just as Cute!!

I have 2 girls so I always have to listen to my girlfriends with boys bemoan that girls shoes are so cute and boys shoes are not. Well, that's just not true. OK, girls shoes are extremely cute and being girls we are naturally drawn to them, but boys shoes are also pediped_aidan.jpgsuper cute. I mean, any shoe shrunken to a tiny tenth of the size is going to be cute no matter what. I always see cute boys shoes so here is to the little boys out who deserve adorable shoes like the rest of us and their moms who pine for masculine cuteness. Baby Style is having their annual shoe sale so look ahead and buy bigger sizes. You never know when that next growth spurt will be.

pedipedsTM hvincent_steve.jpgas the absolute best selection on shoes in general and their boys shoes are always just as cute as the girls. I love the Aidan, it doesn't try to appeal to the mom's by being too pretty, it is rugged and as adorable as your bundle of energy. $30 at pedipedTM.

I love Vincent for sporty hip shoes. They are great for play but cute enough to go to any special events with you without a glitch. On Sale at Baby Style for $32.99.

morganmilo_oxford.jpgMorgan and Milo are mainly for cuteness. The soles do not bend so well so running becomes a problem. These are for shopping trips or going out but I keep them away from playgrounds. On Sale at Baby Style for $29.99.

tiptoejoey_greenThese Tip Toey Joey are great for your stay put cuties. They will transition to crawlers but once they are ready to get up and go you will want to get leather soles for safety. On Sale at Baby Style for $19.98.

Leather Slip-on Bow Shoes by Baby CZ

babyczslipons.jpg

We have featured Baby CZ for their fabulous cashmere. The girl modeling the hat and scarf looked like a cozy porcelain doll. Check out these adorable Baby CZ leather slip-on shoes ($95) for your cutie pie. I like them because of the unique approach to traditional style. The top comes up a little higher than a normal slip-on. These shoes are perfect for spring dresses and romping in the flowers. I know it's only January, but it is a cold, windy day in Texas (which means wind-chill 30 degrees F) and I just returned from the Bahaman beaches. I am longing for the warm sun again. Counting down the days until spring...

Available at Vivre.

Winged Heart Crib Shoes by Paci Posh

wingedheart.jpg
Winged Heart Crib Shoes ($67)

Get your little princess admiring things that sparkle from the start. These Winged Heart Crib Shoes ($67) by Paci Posh bring new meaning to the term Twinkle Toes. We all know the intoxication of glamorous shoes and these Swarovski Crystals will dazzle any fashionista right out of a cranky mood. My favorite detail is the surprise winged heart design on the soles. What a great idea! All the crib shoes I have bought were mostly admired from the plain, boring bottoms as my baby sat in the carrier. Now people, including you, can appreciate the cuteness from the bottom up. Available at my new favorite online boutique, Care for the Kids Boutique. Not only do they sell fabulous products for posh tots, but a portion of their internet sales go to The 14th and Chestnut Children's Center, which is located in the owner's hometown of Terre Haute, Indiana.

TOMS: Shoes for Tomorrow

tomskids.jpg

Pink and Navy Toms: $38 each
pinktoms.jpgnavyshitetoms.jpg

We all love a 2-for-1 deal especially when it's for a good cause. At TOMS "Shoes for Tomorrow" this is their motto. Every time you buy a pair of shoes the company donates a pair on your behalf to a child without shoes. Creator Blake Mycoskie (if he looks familiar, he was a contestant on The Amazing Race: Season Two) was inspired on a trip to Argentina by the traditional, rope-soled Argentine “alpargata”. He was struck by the poverty and health issues of the country, and set out to reinvent the alpargata for the U.S. market and provide for those without shoes. To achieve this goal, Blake made a commitment to match every pair of TOMS purchased with a donation of a pair to a child in need. "I was overwhelmed by the spirit of the South American people, especially those who had so little,” Mycoskie says. “And I was instantly struck with the desire – the responsibility – to do more.”

TOMSsilverglitter_women.jpg
(Note from Bag Snob Tina: I just purchased 3 pairs for myself and ordered 2 pairs for my son, these are the perfect shoes to run around in all year long! Plus every time you pull them on, you can smile at the thought of a child somewhere in the world who also has a pair of shoes because of you :) GO SHOP!)

BlakeTOMS.jpgSo, I know you all are dying to buy a pair for yourself. Then purchase a pair of Tiny TOMS for your kids, nieces, nephews, godchildren, etc. If you don't think owning a pair of shoes is enough, throw a Style Your Soles party - a great excuse for getting together and having fun with friends. Buy each participant a white pair of TOMS and let them become their own fashion designer. It's a party favor and good deed all in one. I am seriously considering this for my daughter's upcoming birthday. For more information read about Style Your Sole party or email them.

As for TOMS, the shoes are taking the nation by storm. The celeb following includes Keira Knightley, Orlando Bloom, Kirsten Dunst, Sienna Miller, Renee Zellweger, Tobey Maguire, Jessica Biel, Benicio Del Toro and many others. During Blake's first year in business, TOMS sold 10,000 pairs of shoes, and he returned to Argentina to lead his first annual Shoe Drop during which he donated to the children who had inspired him. For his second Shoe Drop, Blake will be donating 5 times that number when he travels to Africa in November giving 50,000 pairs of TOMS. That's amazing!TinyTOMSNavy.jpg

Friday, October 19, 2007, Blake will be in Dallas for an event promoting TOMS shoes. The party, hosted by the Sewell family, Heidi Dillon, Kimberly Schlegel Whitman, Cate Ford, Todd Fiscus, and others, will be held at The Apartment. We will also be talking to him. Stay tuned for our full interview. For more information about the event email Debra Thom of the HL Group.

Puddle Jumping in Morgan & Milo

Morgan%26Milomaryjane.jpgMorgan%26Milooxford.jpg
Tessa Mary Jane ($40) & Boy LTT Oxford ($40)

Dangerous as it may be, I am transitioning my love of shoes to my daughter. Morgan & Milo will be staple in my kids' closets from now until they grow out of them. I think of them as a funky, fun, and upscale converse shoes. Born from the desire to provide parents an alternative to high-priced European styles or inexpensive character-driven shoes, they are extremely functional and stylish. Usually in a kids shoe you can get one or the other, but it is next to impossible to find both: the tennis shoes too sporty and the dressy shoes too nice. Morgan & Milo combines colors and fabrics that keep a traditional tone while adding modern flair. But enough about the looks, you can decide for yourself. My love comes with the fit. My daughter has an extremely wide foot. Tennis shoes never have long enough laces. Mary Janes cut her foot in half. Ballet flats make her foot bubble over the top. Flip Flops don't even make it past her toes. Sandals forget about it. Are you frustrated yet?? As you can imagine, there is not much left in the kids department at this point. I was delighted to find that Morgan & Milo solved all of the problems. The mary janes don't leave a mark and I can max out the width of the tennis shoe and still have plenty leftover laces to tie a bow. With a great fit and cute style, I would have paid a fortune, but at around $40 a pair these shoes don't put a huge dent in my wallet. My daughter currently owns three pair. My son is too little for them, but I can't wait to get him his first pair of LTT Oxfords (above). Available at Morgan & Milo.

Baby Hermes

hermessilverware.jpghermesbooties.jpgOf course, you Mom Snobs know the greatness of Hermes, but now your babies can too. Unfortunately, they don’t have a baby Birkin (wouldn't it be cute to have Mommy and Daughter matching bags), but they do have beautiful keepsakes. Their quality and classic style carries over into everything baby. I can’t even tell you where to begin. From bibs to bathrobes, everything is so perfect and precious. Keep your newborn occupied with the sterling silver Hermes Horse rattler ($375). For those first feedings, use the sterling silver fork and spoon ($425). The lambskin booties ($200) are gender neutral in taupe and will assure your baby puts his or her best foot forward. They are just the thing for a religious naming or first appearance. Available at Hermes.

Baby Bling from Head to Toe

babybling17k.jpgDiamond binky for the snobbiest of Tot Snobs costs a mere $17,000. I just want to know if a G-V comes with that?!?! This soothie has a total of 278 pave cut white diamonds totaling 3 carats and is set in 14K white gold. You can customize it with colored diamonds or engraving. If your baby isn’t drooling, you will be. Are you Mom Snobs thinking what I am thinking? “How long until your blinged out baby forfeits the pacifier, so you can get the stones reset for some Mommy bling?” By the way, this binky is not recommended for actual use. What a relief…I was worried my little one might choke on one of the diamonds.

Shiloh Jolie-Pitt's Shoe Mishap

kitsonslipon.jpg

Shiloh Jolie-Pitt was recently photographed on her Daddy's hip wearing these terrible moccasin slip-ons from Kitson. The moccasin slipons $18 are black with a red skull & crossbones on them. Anyhow, I would never put these on my boy, and dare they go on a girl. While the skull & crossbones may be the latest craze, I am not sure it is great to put it on the little ones. They just came into this world & we feel it necessary to dress them in symbols of death? As for poor Shiloh, I guess this is what you get when you mom wears a drop of blood around her neck & thinks it is ok to french kiss your brother. Thank goodness Shiloh has such a beautiful face that I hope no one will look at her feet when she is wearing them.

Ooucci, Gucci, Goo

gucci_boysgucci_maryjanes

No one wants to ogle over your little one more than you, so why not ogle over their shoes too. Gucci baby shoes are perfect for those ten tiny toes. They are soft and flexible for the smallest feet. No stiff, hard soles that are uncomfortable for your newborns or toddler with sizes as large as 12 months. Check out the Cruise 2007 line. We personally love the signature Mary Jane with gold strap $215. An absolute must have for any Fashionista in Training. However, gold not your thing?? It comes in other colors too. Try the platinum. Now, while those with daughters are already typing in their credit card numbers, moms of boys don’t fret. There is something for them too. Who can resist the signature boy sneaker $185? The GG fabric, brown suede trim & green/red web is ideal for the man of the house. Come on...you know he gets more attention than your significant other. If you don’t want the signature fabric, look at the suede sneakers with Gucci script logo on sale. Yep…you read correctly. These shoes are regularly $195. Now they are a steal at $119.
