Circle of Friends Bath Products

Circle of Friends Shampoos

Take a trip around the world during bath time. Circle of Friends bath products ($7-$9) are as educational as they are fun. Each product contains a multicultural character with a story about their country on the back. While the concept is great, I was uncertain if my 3 year old would understand it. Never underestimate the power of a young mind. I showed her the character and read the story thinking I was listening to myself talk, after a few baths she started asking me to read about Natasha (No Tearski Shampoo), Heidi (Chocolate Lotion), and Hoshi (Bubble Bath). I was shocked. Beyond learning, the products smell wonderful and are gentle on young skin. All the scented products got thumbs up by parents and kids in our house; however the Little Docs and Lice-Free Zone products were our favorites.

littledocs.jpgLittle Docs product line was designed to help soothe eczema and sensitive skin. My son has very mild eczema and with the Calming Cream ($9.75) it vanished. We had been using Aquaphor, but the ointment can be messy. The Calming Cream blends into the skin.

licefreezone.jpg If you ever had lice in your house, you know the pain staking process of removing them. The Lice-Free Zone is a lice prevention system. The shampoo and conditioner ($12 each or $22 set) use tea tree, andiroba, and lavender oils to naturally repel lice. Just start using it when you hear of the next school or camp outbreak, so you keep your house lice-free. Buy it now and thank yourself later.

Hooded Towel Heaven

Who doesn’t love a thick, luxurious bath towel?? Well, now your kids can experience the same luxury in towels made especially for them. I have found three towels that are tops for drying off.

You may know Barefoot Dreams for their blankets or adult bathrobes made famous by Oprah, but did you know they make hooded towels too? This super soft plush and terry towel is wonderful after any bath or dip in the pool. The hood of the towel has sweet embroidery. After many washes, the towel has remained soft and cozy. Also, the terry has no loops so it doesn’t snag. It comes with a bath mitt and a mild bath confetti perfect for your baby’s delicate skin. Available at Amazon.com for $55.95.

Swankie Blankie makes a full sized bath towel that will work for your newborn and your toddler. The outside of the hood is decorated in minky and trimmed with satin ribbon while the inside contains soft terry. It comes in over sixteen designs with the Minky Multi Big Dot a TotSnob favorite. But not only is the towel great, they have many other fabulous Toddler and adult products, as well. I used one of their receiving blankets in camo & green satin for my boy. It was so cute to push him around all snuggled up in a hip blanket and no one asked me the sex of my baby.

Finally, Pottery Barn Kids features a hooded beach towel for summer that I swear by. They are generously sized and perfect for every Beach Babe and Surfer Dude. However, I use them for my newborn too. Why should the little ones miss out? The towels are soft terry velour that is very absorbent. This season they have two designs: Seaside Stripe $25 and Rugby Stripe $24. The Seaside Stripe comes in four bold, contrasting colors. The Rugby Stripe comes in two designs. Personalize it for just a few dollars more to make the towel unique. However, get ‘em while it’s hot, literally, because after summer they are gone!
